Take a Gander Inside Zahra Bayero and Yusuf Buhari’s Wedding | #TheBeginningofYz

Last week, all roads led to Kano, where Zahra Bayero, daughter of the Emir of Bichi and son of Nigeria’s President and First Lady, Yusuf Buhari, married.

The #TheBeginningofyz wedding was filled with love, culture, family, and celebration. The ceremonies began in Kano, the bride’s hometown, and concluded in Abuja with the bride’s conveyance to the groom’s home. A number of distinguished guests, politicians, and family friends were evident. Mrs. Fatoumata Ban Barrow, the wife of the Gambian president, and Mrs. Bintou Njie, the Gambian Ambassador to Nigeria, were also evident.

But first, take a look at these lovely portraits of the couple taken by Sani Segun Kabir.

Then wrap up with photos from the bride’s carriage ride to the groom’s family home.
