Kevin Mauss-Martins, the son of retired Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins, has signed his first professional contract with Italian Serie A club Monza.
Obafemi Martins, Kevin’s father, had a successful career. He played for Inter Milan in Serie A, Newcastle United in the Premier League, Levante in La Liga, and Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga before retiring to the United States of America and China.
Kevin, an attacker, attended the AC Milan academy before joining Inter Milan in 2018. He then advanced through the ranks before transferring to Monza.
According to Naija Footballers, despite his father’s nationality, Kevin has played for the Italian under-15 team and has one goal after three games.
Kevin is still eligible to play for Nigeria.
On Saturday, Monza announced that Kevin had signed his first professional contract with the club, which will run until June 2024, and Martins expressed his delight on social media.
“Congratulations, my son; I am very proud of you. “I wish you a long and successful career at Monza,” Martins stated “.
