My father, religion influenced my musical career: MC Shood

MC Shood, also known as Moshood Folorunsho, is an upcoming Afro hip-pop artist based in Ilorin, Nigeria. In a recent interview, he shared how his father’s love for music sparked his interest in pursuing music as a career. Although rap music is his preferred genre, he has learned to combine singing and rapping to cater to the interests of his fans. Despite facing challenges, including lack of support from his family due to religious beliefs, he has released an album titled “Ire” in 2020 and has aspirations to be nominated for a Grammy in the next two years. His lyrics address current issues in Nigeria, such as banditry and kidnapping. He encourages young talents to pursue music as a career and hopes to collaborate with artists such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, Olamide, and Reminisce. He is currently single and is open to finding someone who is endowed with a good spirit, mind, and intellect.
