Call for 2024 Class Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum (Fully-funded)

The Young Global Leaders Community Program is now accepting nominations for their annual selection of outstanding leaders under the age of 40 who have the potential to make a positive impact on the world. The program aims to select individuals from diverse backgrounds who are innovative, committed to public service, and have a track record of creating positive change.

 

The selection criteria for the program is based on the sector of the nominee’s work. For those in the corporate sector, they must hold a senior position and demonstrate a commitment to serving society beyond their regular responsibilities.

Candidates from the startup sector must be founders or chief executive officers of series C startups or unicorns.

Government leaders should be ministers, parliament members, mayors, governors, or heads of political parties, and leaders of international organizations should hold senior positions.

Civil society leaders and social entrepreneurs should be founders or CEOs of consequential organizations or senior leaders in global NGOs.

Academics should be deans or professors from top universities, and artists, athletes, and cultural leaders should have leveraged their art or notoriety to address a systemic issue and serve society.

All applicants must be born between 1 January 1985 and 31 December 1995.

Dates

  • May – November 2023 – The World Economic Forum shortlists candidates for further review. As part of the due diligence process, shortlisted candidates may be asked to meet with a member of the YGL Community between July 2023 and September 2023.
  • December 2023 – An independent selection committee evaluates the nominees for finalist status.
  • January 2024 – Candidates will be informed of their selection.
  • March 2024 – The announcement of the new class of Young Global Leaders.
